Drymen Golf Club.  Instituted 1896. “A 9-hole course adjoining the Buchanan Arms Hotel, visitors to which may play free of charge. The holes vary in length from 200 to 450 yards.  Hazards are burns, ravines, trees etc.”   (GA 1896-97)

The Strathendrick Golf Club was opened in 1901.
