Welcome To Ross & Cromarty.

Aultbea

Aultbea Golf Course.

The heading postcard was produced in 1931 and is the only indication of, or reference to, a golf course in Aultbea at that time..

The land was subsequently taken over by the Admiralty and used to build the naval base which operated the Anti-Submarine Boom Nets during WW2. No traces of the installation remain.

RN Aultbea Golf course. In WW1 a three-hole course was laid out for naval personnel serving in the area.
